Valencian Experience

Enjoy a pleasant boat ride on the Albufera, along with a gastronomic experience.

In Paella School we teach, in a fun way and surrounded by rice fields in the Albufera, how the authentic Valencian paella is cooked.

Our Paella School Montero facilities are within the natural park of Albufera, a unique environment in which we enjoy the free air respecting the environment and betting on sustainability. We collaborate with Visit Albufera, an Eco Tourism company located in El Saler, created to give publicity to this natural landscape close to the city of Valencia, its vegetation, its fauna, its culture and its history. At Paella Official School we are visited by people from all over the world, who came to learn about the wonders of Albufera of Valencia and learn the secrets of authentic Valencian paella.

Do you want to become a true paella master?

Come to Paella  School Montero and learn from the best, David Montero, a reference in different European and American countries, where he has shared and divulgated the culture of Valencian rice.

Our chef is the winner of the 58th edition of the paella contest in Sueca (Valencia) and leads the official school of the Valencian paella, where he transmits all his knowledge about this recipe so characteristic of our gastronomy. In addition, he is the author of the book ‘Paella Lovers’, in which he expresses the true objective of this project: to bring the magic of Valencian paella to all parts of the world. Come and meet the face that hides behind @RicePaella and learn the authentic recipe of our signature dish. You will cook with the best, you will enjoy a boat ride through a unique natural environment and you will receive a diploma as the new ambassador of the Valencian paella.

The Albufera, a unique
natural destination in Valencia

We bet on the environment

The Albufera of Valencia is one of the most unique natural destinations not only in Valencia but also in the whole country. Going into this place, just ten minutes from the city, is discovering a unique world where nature and agricultural and industrial activity go hand in hand in an example of sustainability.

A little hotel ... A thousand insects more.

The extinction of insects in the Albufera accelerates at a rate of between 10,000 and 15,000 species per year. From Paella Offical School we collaborate with the high school of Nuestra Señora de la Misericordia in Valencia. The students of the PFCB «Carpentry and Furniture Works» elaborate the "hotels", small constructions that serve as breeding places for insects to recover this local fauna.
